This text discusses modern foreign direct investment theory, the role of foreign direct investment in boosting economies, the classification of shortcomings of foreign direct investment and their impact on developed and developing countries. It also analyzes the negative impacts of foreign direct investment on Central Asian countries, focusing on the peculiarities of foreign direct investment policies in the region, as well as the assessment and management of these impacts. Furthermore, it presents lessons to be considered by Uzbekistan, including efficient policies for favorable foreign and domestic investment activities, as well as preliminary methodology and suggestions on the issue.
