This study focuses on the importance of integrating culture-related activities in foreign language teaching. It explores how communicative competence in language learning can be enhanced through the incorporation of elements of the target language culture(s). The research methods used in the statistical study include the use of a questionnaire to collect data on the frequency of civilization-related activities in English lessons, the effects of longer stays abroad on cultural activity frequency, and the evaluation of country focus and coursebooks. The study emphasizes the significance of intercultural communicative competence in language education, as outlined in guidelines such as the Common European Framework.
