The State Emblem of the Republic of Uzbekistan reflects the many centuries of experience of the Uzbekistan people. The emblem features wheat on the right side and branches of cotton with opened cotton bolls on the left side. An eight-pointed star at the top represents unity and confirmation, while the crescent and star inside it symbolize Islam. The mythical bird Semurg in the center represents national renaissance. The emblem conveys the Uzbek people's desire for peace, happiness, and prosperity, with "Uzbekistan" inscribed at the bottom in Uzbek on a ribbon in the national colors.
