This chapter dealt with the major contemporary global issues facing the world in the 21st century. In particular, it dealt with four major issues- global security issues, global environmental issues, global socio-economic issues and global cultural issues. Accordingly, issues such as global terrorism, climate change & global warning, global inequality and poverty, Migration & refugee crises and cultural/civilizational clashes and identity conflicts are briefly discussed as the most pressing challenges of humanity in the 21st century.
