The subject of the course work is the theoretical aspects of foreign language, focusing on the ways expressions of modality in modern English and Uzbek languages. The work explores the functional-semantic category of modality, which expresses various types of relations between the utterance and reality, as well as different types of subjective evaluation of the information contained.
