O’tkir Hoshimov is a well-known Uzbek writer and public figure. He was born on August 5, 1941 in Dombirabad district in Tashkent. He studied at the faculty of Philology of the State university and worked in various editorials and publishing houses. He also served as chairman of the writer’s community of the Republic of Uzbekistan. He passed away in Tashkent with his family on Friday, May 24, 2013 due to a serious illness.
