Uzbek EFL learners are faced with challenges in communicative competence due to the focus on grammar and vocabulary in instruction. Strategies such as implementing CLT with a focus on student talk time, integrating culturally relevant content, and utilizing gamification and AI incorporation can enhance the learning experience. Challenges like L1 interference and limited exposure to authentic language use outside classrooms impact language development. The role of culture and context, including Uzbekistan's social structure and cultural events like Navruz celebrations, play a significant role in language learning.
