Dyupyuitren kontrakturasi is a progressive fibroproliferative disease of the palmar fascia, causing the fingers in the hand to contract in the MCP and PIP joints of the 4th and 5th (ring and little) fingers. It usually develops slowly, can be painless, more common in individuals aged 40-70, more prevalent in men compared to women, and can be associated with genetics, diabetes, alcoholism, and trauma
